Due to the Great Eastern Storm, I haven't got a clue as to how much of this will actually ship or when it will actually ship. Or if they will actually ship. We're told that we'll get our books on Friday. I'm not holding my breath. At least they've got an excuse this time. Now for the New Releases List FAQ: "Can you mail me the list when it comes out? My site's really slow." Yes. E-mail me with a request and a valid return path for e-mail and I'll put you in my alias file and just send it right off to you that way. "Why is the list posted so late? My shop gets the books on Monday or Tuesday and you don't post the list until Tuesday or Wednesday." Your shop has a good deal going with some airline or other. I can't post the list until I get the master list from the Capital City BBS. "Can I get an account on the Capital BBS?" If you have an account with them (ie: you're a retailer, or, like me, the boss lets you use his account), then yes. Which means: no. "Why don't you list the prices as well? Certainly it couldn't take much extra time or effort." You're right; it'd take maybe an extra minute or two. However, the list I get is all in US prices. I'm a Canadian, so I don't give a whit about US prices, and with the exchange rates changing so rapidly, it's impossible to predict the Canadian prices, especially on indies. I'm not going to post the US prices (which I don't care about) unless I have the Canadian prices, too. "You list some of the comic-related merchandise, but not all of it. Why?" There are too many t-shirts, posters, and other novelty crap items released every week for me to list, so I just post what I think are the highlights for the week for novelties. "Why don't you list other genre-type stuff, like Starlog?" If it doesn't have at least a tangential reference to comics, I don't post it. Most manga and anime stuff also don't get listed. "Why don't you list all the comics?" Some comics are unworthy of being listed: Harvey Comics, Personality Comics, Spoof Comics, Sports Comics -- it's not worth my time to type them in. Does anyone really read these anyway? I also don't list any stroke books, if I can help it. "You're my hero." I know. ------- The List ------- Antarctic Press Space Wolf 2 Archie Betty & Veronica Double Digest 38 Jughead 46 TMNT Adventures 45 TMNT III Movie Adaptation Prestige Version Veronica 28 Blazer Studios New World Order 1 Boneyard Press Flickering Flesh 1 Richard Speck 1 Caliber Berzerker 1 Cat-Head Buzzard 7 Comic Company A Next Man Special 1 Dark Horse Aliens: Colonial Marines 3 Hard Looks 7 Luck in the Head G/N Next Men 13 (note: better than Spawn) Version 1.4 DC Comics Batman 492 Batman: Shadow of the Bat 12 Crucible 3 Darkstars 7 Death: The High Cost of Living 3 Deathstroke the Terminator 22 Flash 76 Green Lantern 39 Green Lantern: Mosaic 12 Hardware 2 Legionnaires 2 Newstime: The Life & Death of the Man of Steel Peter Cannon/Thunderbolt 9 Sandman Mystery Theatre 2 Shade, The Chagning Man 35 Spectre 6 Stanley & His Monster 4 (quick! stake out your place at your local!)
